This is the debut Serial of Malayalam actor Malavika Wales. She made her film appearance through Malayalam movie Malarvadi Arts Club, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Ponnambili is written by famous novalist Sudhakar Mangalodayam, this Serial is based a Manorama novel ‘Kukumapottu’. The script and dialogues are written by Rajesh Puthenpurayil. Balamani was the previous serial of director Gireesh Konni. Rajesh Puthenpurayil’s famous serials Balamani and Ente Pennu. Rahul Ravi is another new face in this Serial. He playes the role of Hari Padmanabhan, the hero of the serial.

Story of Ponnambili Serial
The theme of the Serial is very different from other Malayalam serials. Ponnambili is the central character of the Serial. Her father name is Appumash, he is a retired teacher. He has three daughters and one son. His son name is Abhayan, he is waiting the result of I A S test. He is the eldest son of Appumash. Ponnambili is younger sister of Abhayan.They have another member in the family Malavika, daughter of Appumash’s sister. Malavika mother died with the mental and physical torture of her father Raghavan Kutty. Raghavan Kutty is a very rude man. After the death of Malavika’s mother, he is married to Bhairavi. Malavika is a very calm and quiet lady. He loves Abhayan, but Abhayan likes another rich and educated lady. Appumash third daughter Ammu has Physical block of her right leg from the birth. Ammu’s role is played by Parvathy. Meera Muralidharan portrays the role of Malavika.
